The short version: You own your study cards. We provide the platform on a freemium basis. Use Study Flow lawfully. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
By creating an account or using Study Flow (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Bright Harbor ("we", "us", or "our"), the operator of Study Flow.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Study Flow. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may not share your account or allow others to access the Service through your credentials.
Study Flow operates on a freemium model:

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle. All prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes. You authorise us to charge your payment method on each renewal date.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will not receive a refund for the unused portion except where required by applicable law.
We will give you at least 30 days' notice before increasing subscription prices. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
You own all study cards, decks, notes, and other content you create on Study Flow ("Your Content"). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over Your Content.
By uploading Your Content, you grant The Bright Harbor a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you.
When you use our AI card generation feature, the resulting cards become Your Content under the same ownership terms. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content for accuracy before using it for study.
The Study Flow platform, FSRS implementation, interface design, trademarks, and all non-user content are owned by The Bright Harbor and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, or distribute these without our written permission.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you materially breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law.
You may close your account at any time. Upon termination, we will delete Your Content within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You should export your data before closing your account.
We provide tools to export your study cards in standard formats (CSV, JSON, Anki-compatible APKG) so you are never locked in. Export options are available in your account settings.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Bright Harbor makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific study outcomes (grades, exam results, certifications) will be achieved.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Bright Harbor and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of certain liabilities; in such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Bright Harbor and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms; (b) Your Content; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland (for EEA users) and the State of Delaware (for all other users), without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, please contact us at [email protected] to resolve the dispute informally. We will endeavour to resolve any complaint within 30 days.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
